Meet the Crescent Brass
Darian Washington was born in Mississippi and raised in
Augusta, Georgia. He received his B.M. in music education
from Augusta State University and his masters of music in
horn performance from the University of Georgia in 2002. He
returned to Augusta in 2003 as instructor of horn and
humanities at Augusta State University. Currently, Darian is in
his second year of pursuing a D.M.A. at the University of
Maryland in College Park, studying with Gregory Miller. He is
also a freelancer in the Washington, DC metro area. This is his
fourth season with the Crescent Brass.
Erin Washington is from Rochester, Minnesota and
Winston-Salem, NC. She received her B.M. in music
performance from the University of Georgia and this
spring will receive her M.M. in horn performance from the
University of Maryland, where she is a student of Gregory
Miller. Erin has played with several groups in the
Washington, DC metro area, including the American Balalaika
Symphony.  Next year Erin plans to start on a second
masters degree in library science. She is happy to be playing
her third season with the CrescentBrass this Christmas.
